Atlantic ocean
This is the gallery of temperate seas ... this area is a flood of colours, sounds, images in the heart of marine biodiversity.
A series of seven tanks of 15 ° C seawater presents the different environments of the bordering metropolitan seas of France (continental shelf, intertidal, rocky caves and overhangs,...) and their characteristic fauna.
The visit of this area begins with an aquarium of more than 166 000 litters of sea water: there are pelagic species (mackerel, horse mackerel), several species of rays such as curly lines, the brunette rays and the benthic species such as the plaice.
We also deal with the notion of living in group on a pedagogic panel.
Many invertebrate species are exposed such as tomatoes and green anemone fish, starfish, the hermit crab, shrimp bouquet shells saint Jacques,...( concept of diversity and adaptation to the environments). |
